  • The Twilight Zone!

    by: Malki

So what else is there to do besides farming raid content over and over and over? Raid achievements, that’s what! After getting a strategy down that worked for us earlier in the week, we came back from the weekend break and one-shot Sartharion with all three of his drakes up on pull to earn our pretty new titles. I’m assuming we’ll now be moving on to more and more raid achievements just to keep things interesting. Stay tuned.

Grats to Nan for rolling a perfect 100 to steal the server’s first ever [Reins of the Twilight Drake] from our grasp! Also, grats to everyone for learning how to dodge lava waves and void zones. Wear those new titles with pride. The other loot was cool too, but it all looks dull in comparison to Nan’s new ride. Check her out in all her glory!

    Rolling Right Along…

What do Malygos and all of the Horde leaders have in common? THEY’RE ALL DEAD!

A good way to cap off the raid-week if you ask me. A 10-man strat test/kill followed up immediately by a 25-man kill. What a crazy fun fight this was. It’s practically Onyxia for a new generation. I love bosses with no trash to kill!

Then because we were all out of content, we went and killed the Horde leaders. Loot links, screenshots of black bears and a better update forthcoming.

Busy busy… Naxx 25 and CoA 25 Cleared!

    by: Malki

My my, what a busy week this was (so far!!) Only the second Friday after the release of Wrath and we clear Naxxramas as soon as we had enough level 80s to do it, and a server first to boot!

It was a lot of fun, even though I was falling asleep through run backs on Four Horsemen. Twice I actually woke up to hear “OMG Malki wake up!” and Doms even had to shake me awake once (hah!). Sapphiron was a blast, and not having to wear frost resist gear is a big plus. Kel’Thuzad was amazing… mostly because it was my first, even though the guild has done it many times pre TBC and post TBC. I always missed it, so it was extra fun for me.

Also on Friday morning/afternoon they pulled enough people together to grab a kill on Chamber of Aspects, and Vault of Archavon, yay pvp gear?

This was honestly a rush to get this out of the way. We typically don’t raid on Fridays, but we had the people and figured why not? And look at the amazing job we pulled off!

    Some Naxx drops:
    Sapphiron-
    [Soul of the Dead]
    [Icy Blast Amulet]
    [Legwraps of the Defeated Dragon]

    Kel’Thuzad-
    [Wall of Terror]
    [Journey's End]
    [Boundless Ambition]
    [Crown of the Lost Vanquisher]

    CoA and VoA drops:
    [Dragon Brood Legguards]
Not sure of the rest.. blame the guild! I was at work and they were raiding.. W T F :(

    So, Now What?

Posted by Wither on November 25th, 2008

So Wrath was released on midnight the 13th, as wel all now. Well, as of 11/24, only 11 days later, almost all of us were lvl 80 and the guild had already run out of content to rip apart. Amazing, isn’t it? Or is it really? There is a lot to be said for the dedication and coordination of the 30+ active raiders we have in the guild. Certainly you can do a lot with people who can take instructions and those who give good direction. But has Blizzard toned down the difficulty of everything in Wrath so much that just about anyone can do it? I’m not really sure, so maybe someone can give me some clarity here.

The core members of our group hail back to old classic World of Warcraft. May of us started the game and have been raiding in it for what, four years now, according to the little white bear that follows me around? A good amount of us are seasonsed vets who were in Naxxramas before TBC came out and so we remember how hard the classic Naxx was before Wrath. Many raided Naxx even during TBC just for fun, and indeed were doing it right up until just before Wrath was released so there was a lot of practice on all of these bosses, even if they were retardedly easy to people wearing T6 and Sunwell gear.

    Dear Breeders (Non WoW)

What part of your brain thinks it is ok to ask someone “do you have any?”  while faking a smile as your trying to control your child.  Please, back off mommy dearest, this look of contempt on my face is for you and it means control your offspring and do not talk to me.   I am not sure how exactly to answer that question anyways or what in the fuck you’re talking about.  Are you asking about gray hair? wrinkles? shopping bags?  breath mints?  Oh! did you mean that little person who is struggling to get away from you in a cramped elevator and pushing every button within reach, when I mean to get off on the 11th floor now we have to stop at everything from the skyway level to the 9th?  Thank god your kid isn’t that tall…   Do not look at me like it’s cute or quaint that your buddle of joy now just made me more late then I already was because now I have to get off at the next floor and get on another elevator thanks to your little brat.
